Cookies and storage

Consent is what a site needs before it stores something on your device for its own purposes, above all for advertising. Relica stores nothing for advertising, sets no cookies, and loads no third party script.

The bag has to be stored or it empties when you open a piece. The follower discount has to be stored or it is forgotten between the moment you claim it and the moment you check out. Both are things you asked for by using the site, and neither needs a banner.

The one thing left is the visit count, and rather than putting a banner in front of every visitor to ask about it, there is a switch below that works immediately and stays off.

Kept in your browser, on your device, and readable only by relicaworks.com:

• Your bag. The pieces you added, their finishes and quantities, so the bag survives a reload and a walk between the shop and the gallery. Cleared when you empty the bag.
• The follower discount. A flag saying you claimed it, and the code, so it comes off at checkout.
• Your last order. The number and the date of the order you just placed, so the confirmation still reads correctly if you reload the page.
• The category you tapped. Held only until the tab closes, so opening the shop from the menu lands on the right category.
• The visit markers. When your last counted visit began and when we last saw you, so a reload is not counted as a second visit.
• An anonymous account. The Firebase sign in that lets your browser write its own visit record and nobody else's. It carries no name and no email address.

This turns the count off for this browser. Nothing more is written or sent from here, the rest of the site works exactly as it did, and the setting stays until you clear your browsing data.

• No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no advertising tag of any kind.
• No session recording and no heatmap tool.
• No embedded Instagram feed, no third party font, no script from a network that is not ours.
• No cross site tracking. Nothing here can tell where you went next.

Everything above is cleared by your browser's Clear browsing data control, or by opening the site in a private window. Clearing it empties your bag and forgets a claimed discount, which is the only cost.

A content blocker that stops the site's own scripts will stop the visit count too. The shop still works.
